Experience the best of Malaysia on a seven day itinerary. Using exclusively top class, five star accommodation, self-drivers will know they will have a stylish hotel waiting for them at the end of each day’s adventure. Road conditions are good, road signs are in English and driving is on the left. Included is an Avis group E vehicle (Toyota Altis 1.6 automatic or similar) with unlimited mileage. Day 1: Kuala Lumpur Airport to Malacca
84 miles 2 hours. You will be met on arrival at Kuala Lumpur Airport by our local representative, who will assist you with the collection of your vehicle and provide you with advice. Drive to historical Malacca and check in to The Majestic Malacca for a two night stay. The Majestic dates back to the 1920s and features both new and historic architecture.
Day 2: Malacca
Founded in 1400, Malacca was successively ruled by the Portuguese, Dutch and the British, with a colourful history. You may explore the city by visiting the major attractions of St Paul’s Hill, the renowned Porta de Santiago and Jonker Street, known as Antique Street.
Day 3: Malacca to Kuala Lumpur
90 miles 2 hours. Drive to the capital, Kuala Lumpur. Check in to the five star, Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur which enjoys a central location and easy access to the sights of the city.
Day 4: Kuala Lumpur
A full day to explore this modern metropolis. Perhaps we can pre-book you on the half day city tour which includes visits to Chinatown, the Lake Gardens and photo opportunities of the Royal Palace and the famous Petronas Twin Towers.
Day 5: Kuala Lumpur to the Cameron Highlands
137 miles 3 hours. A spectacular drive takes you up to beautiful highland scenery of waterfalls, streams and giant tree-ferns. Arrive at the Cameron Highlands Resort and checkin for a relaxing two-night stay. This luxurious resort, at 1467 metres above sea level is located in one of Malaysia’s largest and most genteel of hill resorts, surrounded by lush greenery, rolling hills and Tudor-style cottages.
Day 6: Cameron Highlands
The tea plantations are one of the must-see features of the Cameron Highlands. You can visit the factories to see the process of tea production. Some have shops where you can drink and buy tea and enjoy the wonderful views overlooking the plantations.
Day 7: Cameron Highlands to Kuala Lumpur Airport
160 miles 4 hours. Return to Kuala Lumpur Airport to complete your itinerary.

Add-a-Beach Offer
On day 7 you could drive to the west coast and drop the car off at Lumut, then stay at Pangkor Laut Resort for eight nights, returning to KL by private car transfer. Alternatively drive to the east coast and drop the car off at Kuala Terengganu, then stay at the Tanjong Jara Resort for 8 nights, returning to Kuala Terengganu by private car (we can arrange a flight from there to KL). One way drop off fee applies.
