See Hanoi, the Paris of the Orient, stay overnight on a traditional junk in magnificent Halong Bay. Take in the ancient capital of Hue, and relax in the charming fishing port of Hoi An. Day 1: Arrive Hanoi
Your guide will meet you on arrival at the airport and take you to your chosen accommodation. `
Day 2: Hanoi
Visit Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, and several of his houses. Continue on to the Temple of Literature before lunch in a local restaurant. Visit the History or Fine Arts museum, followed by a cyclo tour of the Old Quarter.
Day 3: Halong Bay Cruise
Drive to Halong Bay for a two day cruise. Begin with a seafood lunch, and then explore limestone caves. Relax in the afternoon on deck, go for a swim or try some kayaking.
Day 4: Hanoi to Hue
Return to Hanoi for a fight to Hue, where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel.
Day 5: Hue to Hoi An
Tour of Hue then scenic drive to Hoi An via the spectacular Hai Van Pass. There will be stops en route to take in the views of the coastline from this amazing vantage point.
Day 6: Hoi An
This morning take a walking tour of Hoi An’s ancient town, strolling along rambling streets and into old houses.
Day 7: Hoi An
Full day at leisure in Hoi An. Perhaps pay a visit to the beach, or enjoy a cruise along the river. There is also an optional cooking class.
Day 8: Hoi An to Saigon
Transfer to Danang airport then morning flight to Saigon. Afternoon half day city tour includes the former Presidential Palace, the War Remnants Museum, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Post Office and finally Dong Khoi Street.
Day 9: Cu Chi tunnels
This labyrinth of tunnels is where the Viet Cong hid during the war. Today the remaining tunnels have become a tourist attraction, giving visitors a feel of what underground life was like during the war.
Day 10: Saigon to The Mekong Delta
Visit the colourful Cai Be floating market and local home factories on a relaxing cruise. After lunch enjoy a short walk along a narrow canal. Stay overnight in Can Tho.
Day 11: The Mekong Delta to Saigon
Return to Saigon, arriving back in the city late afternoon.
Day 12: Depart Saigon
