Anantara Golden Triangle Resort & Spa
from £349 per person
for a 3 day tour
Perched on a hill overlooking the hills of Burma and Laos, Anantara’s Golden Triangle Resort is as enchanting as the region in which it is located. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Northern Thailand’s rugged hill country, this luxury natural retreat is set amidst 160 acres of lush tropical jungles overlooking the winding Mekong River. The refreshing chill of a Northern Thai sunrise shrouded in mountain mist. The rush of a longboat ride up the Mekong to Laos. The exhilaration of riding an elephant through bamboo jungle along the border of Burma. |
Accommodation
58 deluxe rooms, each with superb views of the hills and forested mountains of three countries from balconies with built-in sofas. The 19 spacious Anantara Suites combine traditional Thai art and high design, featuring hardwood floors, double balconies and open bathrooms with oversized tubs for two.
Facilities
At the end of a perfect day, relax in the hilltop infinity-edged swimming pool overlooking the Mekong Valley. Enjoy a Thai massage or relax in an outdoor tub at the Anantara Spa. There are three restaurants offering a range of dining options.
The Elephant Camp
Unique to the Anantara Golden Triangle Resort, the Elephant Camp is a traditional mahout (elephant-trainer) village, located in the jungle within walking distance of the resort. Set up as a centre for the conservation of elephants this camp offers guests of the resort a remarkable opportunity to observe the elephants up close, learn to drive an elephant through bamboo groves and paddy fields, watch them bathe in the river and see how the mahouts live.
Offer: Honeymooners receive complimentary welcome canapés and cocktails.
Prices from £349 per person for a 3 day tour.
