Most of the archipelago is a national marine park. The largest island, Con Son, which hosts Six Senses Con Dao, is a 45 minute flight from Saigon, as is the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, located just off the Vietnamese and Cambodian coastlines. When resorts on the mainland are experiencing the rainy season, the weather in Phu Quoc is excellent. Plans are afoot for major development of the island, but at present, it is still largely unspoiled. November to June is generally the best time to visit these islands.
